When the massive $450,000 Live.Love.Life festival was announced by Labor Member Mary-Anne Thomas in January 2018 – many in the community were questioning why so much money was being lavished on one festival and whether the timing of this festival to be held one week before the 2018 State Election wasn’t just an expensive attempt to gain votes?
All this is in tatters with the announcement by Daylesford Macedon Ranges Tourism that the festival will be all but cancelled for 2018 – proving that this was always an overly expensive and badly conceived idea.
The new festival has also negatively impacted on other popular local festivals run by volunteers in Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges at this time.
